I went onto the Film Education website on a page that specialises in the making of film trailers. The Film Education company recently had been denied of any more government funding; luckily the company is now independently owned so students such as me can be provided with useful information about the planning, researching, construction and editing of films.
I completed an activity where I had to make a short mini-movie trailer using a 'teaching trailers' software indented into the websites page. I used my own knowledge of film trailer codes and conventions as well as ways in which trailers are used to attract audiences to complete my own cut of a film trailer in the online trailer editor, using clips, soundtracks and titles also used in professional trailers like the 6 trailers I analysed previously (found HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE & HERE).
From completing this activity on A Day to Die Hard, I gained inspiration for my future film trailer as well as useful information about the purpose of film trailers and the ways in which film distributors use Poster and Advertising methods to promote the film. I will be using methods such as making a film poster, making a magazine cover or radio trailer to attract my target audience.
HERE is my mini-trailer on A Day to Die Hard.

P&A posters using befunky |
I made a photo collage above of A Day to Die Hard P&A posters on befunky photo editing and collage making website. The befunky
website is an extremely useful tool as it allows me to make photo
collages easily and quickly, presenting the photos in an eye-catching
and bright format. Searching for the accompanying posters allows me to
observe the use of key visual codes, such as images, character, genre
and typography.
Before I started making my mini-trailer I answered briefly the questions provided at the bottom of the page. I have made an infographic using Infogr.am; this infographic online collage maker has proven to be extremely useful as I can quickly upload information quickly using a new eye catching, imaginative format.
