FUTURE LEARN DIGITAL AND SOCIAL MEDIA COURSE SIGN UP

I have just signed up to a free online 4 week course on Future Learn focussing on the gaining of practical skills and insights into hyperlocal journalism, and use digital and social media to create my own news website.

Throughout the 4 week course I will be looking at recent articles, videos of articles online, research into the decline of local newspapers and radio stations as well as taking part in discussions, for example. 

I will be completing 3 hours per week for 4 weeks - receiving a certificate completing the course.

BFI ACADEMY RESIDENTIAL PROGRAMME

I have looked at signing up to a BFI Film Academy residential programme for next year, 2016. Unfortunately this Summer I couldn't sign up on a course as I had other commitments including writing an EPQ and completing my LAMDA Gold Award. However as I am interested in Media Studies in the future I will be signing up to a course in the future.
